Nathan Taylor, MD

Board Certified Plastic Surgeon

A member of the Superior Aesthetics team for more than 6 years, Dr. Nathan Taylor, MD, offers a unique combination of experience, knowledge and personal attention. With nearly 20 years of experience in plastic surgery, his specialties include aesthetic facial cosmetic surgery focusing primarily on lower face and neck lifts, blepharoplasty, brow lifts and breast augmentation. He strongly believes that patients must be evaluated and treated individually while offering proven, safe and reliable treatment options.  Additionally, he offers a wide range of orthopedic hand surgery services at the Advance Center for Orthopedic and Plastic Surgery office.

A native of Salt Lake City, Utah, Dr. Taylor received his bachelor of science degree in human physiology at Boston University. Following college, Dr. Taylor earned his medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington, D.C. After an internship at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas, he completed his plastic and reconstructive surgery integrated residency at the same institution. Dr. Taylor then finished his surgery fellowship at the University of Michigan Medical Center in Ann Arbor, Michigan. When Dr. Taylor is not providing expert cosmetic and reconstructive services, he’s serving as a proud orthopedic team physician for Northern Michigan University and Marquette Senior High School.

Amanda Beerman, DNP

President, Injection Specialist

A board-certified nurse practitioner, Amanda Beerman has extensive clinical experience in wound care, plastic surgery, and medical aesthetics. She has worked for the UP Health System for over 20 years and owns and operates Superior Aesthetics in Marquette. Amanda delivers excellent service in a number of medical capacities, including treatments of the skin and aging from both medical and aesthetic aspects. With a proven diverse background, she is able to safely and effectively perform a number of services in a variety of medical environments.

As a business owner, Amanda leads a team of professionals while staying current on the latest technologies and methods. Amanda continues to advance her medical aesthetics education through workshops and one-on-one training with industry leaders, specializing in neurotoxins, dermal fillers, Sculptra, and threading. Born and raised in the local area, she is a community leader who supports the region’s economic development and introduces the most up-to-date treatments to the Upper Peninsula. She assists her patients in meeting their unique goals while maintaining a balanced, healthy aesthetic well-being. Amanda earned her bachelor’s degree at Northern Michigan University and a doctorate of nursing from Oakland University.

Rachel Guindon, LE

Rachel is a licensed Medical Esthetician and Certified Laser Technician with over 10 years experience in the industry. She has gained a wealth of knowledge through ongoing education and training. She is passionate about skin care and is always striving to improve her skills and techniques. She believes that every client deserves the highest quality of care and service. She is knowledgeable in a wide range of skin care and body treatments and is always up-to-date on the latest trends and products. She is a firm believer that the esthetician-client relationship is a very special one. She is always available to answer any questions or address concerns they may have. She believes that everyone deserves to feel beautiful and confident in their own skin.

Rhonda Gay

Cosmetologist, Permanent Makeup Artist

Rhonda has been in the beauty industry for over 30 years. She is a master stylist and was an educator for Aveda for over 10 years. She decided to advance her education by taking classes to become a certified permanent makeup artist. She specializes in advanced techniques of camouflage, color correction, nano brows, microblading, eyeliner, and lip blushing. As a perfectionist by nature, she has an eye for design and a passion for enhancing natural beauty. She takes her time with each client, properly shaping the eyebrows to frame the face, creating a more youthful appearance. Additionally, she uses color theory to choose the perfect pigments for eyeliner and/or lip colors to create flawless results.
