non-surgical facelift in Marquette

The alternative to a facelift is here. The PDO thread lifting procedure is a safe and effective way to lift and tighten skin with mild-to-moderate laxity.

Nova threads are an innovative way to give your face a natural facelift, helping you appear years younger. By inserting the PDO threads beneath the skin, we’re able to pull and shape your face to reduce skin laxity and other signs of aging. While skin rejuvenation procedures can help tighten your skin and even your skin tone, it doesn’t effectively lift skin that has a significant amount of laxity.

After the procedure, you will notice reduced roundness of the lower face, restoring your youthful angles to the face and neck.  This procedure is best when combined with other treatments such as laser therapies to even skin tone and texture and dermal fillers, which will help replace facial volume loss.  We can also combine this treatment with CoolSculpting or Kybella to eliminate excess chin fat.

Even your closest friends will know something is different, but with our natural results, they won’t be able to put their finger on what it is.

How it Works

A thread lift is a procedure that uses dissolvable surgical sutures to lift sagging skin. In place of traditional surgery, our nurse practitioner uses barbed or smooth PDO threads to lift skin that has slight to moderate laxity. PDO threads are medical-grade surgical suture made of polydioxanone. In fact, PDO threads are so safe they’re even used during open heart surgery. That means you get an effective, yet extremely safe procedure to lift and tighten your skin.

Our nurse practitioner uses a fine needle to carefully insert the threads while contouring and shaping your face. The threads immediately lift the skin and also promote a healing response in the dermis to create a surge of collagen in the treated areas. Collagen is an important substance that makes up the structure of your skin, and it breaks down over time. As collagen remodels in the dermis, the body’s natural growth factors increase. This provides a more long-lasting effect.

A non-surgical facelift in Marquette is beneficial to people who don’t want to worry about the downtime that comes from a traditional face lift procedure.

Benefits

Revives your natural structure

A beautiful and healthy face has a “V-shape.” With the aging of tissues and the action of gravity, this “V-shape” gets lost. The idea behind the Nova-Mesh and the Nova-Lift technique is to either create a scaffolding to support the tissues and maintain the “V-shape”, or where necessary, to delicately lift the tissues and reposition the skin to recreate the “V-shape” where it’s been lost.

Gives amazing results without surgery

With PDO threads, you get a non-surgical facelift in Marquette that takes away extended downtimes and pain. You gain noticeable results without general anesthesia or having to take off work.

Enhances skin long after the procedure

Within 4 to 6 months after your procedure, your skin will absorb the threads, boosting the healing process and promoting collagen production. Even after the threads are gone, the new collagen will continue fighting against signs of aging for long-lasting results.

Are PDO threads safe?

Yes, PDO threads are safe! They are medical-grade sutures that are even used in heart surgery. Overtime your body will absorb them, leading to an increase in collagen production.

Will a PDO thread lift give me the same results as a face lift?

Does a PDO thread lift hurt?

No, a PDO thread lift does not hurt. Before inserting the threads, we use a topical numbing cream to maximize your comfort. You may notice some soreness after the procedure, but you can manage it with over-the-counter medications.
